Seriocomical science fiction with light-hearted comedy and humour
I’m a writer of science fiction. Not the serious, deep and meaningful type, but the seriocomical type, that pokes a finger and throws a custard pie in the face of a world that is too harsh for its own good. Love Hitchhikers? Relish Red Dwarf? Then read on.
Let’s laugh and let’s live.
I write mainly seriocomical science fiction, blending St. Douglas Adams with PG Wodehouse. Rob Grant and Doug Naylor, and Robert Heinlein are often stirred in for good measure, and I do enjoy a tomb of Asimov, Clark, Wells, Philip K, and Larry Niven to provide a substantial base.
My published works include short story Waldo Fobgib’s Electric Picture Shop, which was published in SciFantastic magazine. Novel Big Wheels is available via LuLu.com. And I once had a story read out in Miss Smith’s English Class (year one).
My professional interest is respiratory nursing and research, with over twenty scientific publications to my name. I’m a lecturer at a large university in the north of England, and am currently undertaking a PhD in Health Science.
I am currently seeking representation from a literary agent.
